Get This

You can have circulating books sent from Ann Arbor to Flint using Get This. You can also use the Get This to place a hold on a book that's on loan to someone else, or to have the book retrieved and held for you at the Circulation Desk.

To request a book or place a hold, you must login to Mirlyn with your uniqname and UMICH (formerly Kerberos) password.

When searching Mirlyn, if you see a book that Ann Arbor has that you wish to order, click on the title to retrieve the Full Record for the book, and then click the "Get This" button.

Login with your UMICH password, and follow the instructions to submit your request. Make sure the Pick Up Location is set to UM-Flint.

For items that aren't available in Ann Arbor or Flint, you can use Interlibrary Loan.

How Long Does It Take?

Response time varies from 2-3 days, if the book is on the shelf, to weeks or more if it is on order or currently on loan to someone else. Get This can be used to send for circulating books only.

(The quickest way to obtain an item is to go to the owning library and find it yourself on the shelves. You can use your MCard to borrow materials from most UM Libraries in Ann Arbor and Dearborn.)
