UNV 100: So You Want to Change the World, A Look at the Opioid Crisis

Avoiding Plagiarism

Accurately citing sources used for research is an important part of the writing and research process. Citation is important because:

  • It is used to give credit for information originally written elsewhere.
  • Citation enables others to find the same information again.
  • Failure to give credit for drawing on the work of others constitutes plagiarism.

For more information on plagiarism, please read the Academic Policies of the University and the English Department's policy on Academic Integrity.

The library also offers workshops and webinars on this topic during the Fall and Winter semesters. Please register for a session below. If you cannot make a session, enroll in a self-paced Blackboard course.
