Meet Your Librarian: Liz Svoboda

About Liz

Hi!

I'm the Instruction and Outreach Librarian at UM-Flint. I am passionate about how the library can support students, faculty, and staff not only through research services but also in creating an inclusive and welcoming space on campus.

My duties include

  • teaching undergraduate library instruction sessions for any program on campus, from first year writing courses to capstone-level courses in the sciences and everything in between
  • creating online modules and video tutorials for the library
  • helping instructors locate, adapt, and access affordable and or open education resources
  • organizing the library's outreach activities including webinars and in person programs
  • creating and distributing the library's newsletter/blog
  • developing the Browsing Collection of new and popular books.

I am one of the librarians you will see the most on campus, so feel free to say hello.
