Using the Models

All models are for in-library use only. Models can be borrowed for up to four (4) hours at a time.

Students, faculty, and staff must check out the models from the Circulation Desk with their M-Card.

TableOnCloud is a web-based version of the Anatomage Table that allows users to remotely access the full content and functionality of the Table. The Anatomage Table is the most technologically advanced 3D anatomy visualization and virtual dissection tool for anatomy and physiology education.

The Anatomage Table is the first virtual dissection table to utilize real, life-size digital cadavers to accurately represent the human body. Users can visualize anatomy exactly as they would on a fresh cadaver. Individual structures are reconstructed in accurate 3D, resulting in an unprecedented level of real accurate anatomy, dissectible in 3D.

Anatomage offers 4 gross anatomy cases, more than 30 high-resolution regional anatomy cases, and more than 1000 pathological examples, including animal cases. With Anatomages cadavers, thousands of structures are meticulously segmented from photographic images to deliver the most accurate real 3D anatomy.
- To use TableOnCloud, a reservation is required. Users will be emailed the login information after making a reservation.
- Only one user from an institution can interact with TableOnCloud at a time. Multiple users from the same institution with the same login credentials can be logged into TableOnCloud at one time.
- TableOnCloud image use is allowed for any educational purposes.

- Free Anatomage support can assist you with custom cadaver presets for use on the Anatomage Table or TableOnCloud.
For TableOnCloud instruction and group projects, we recommend video conferencing apps, like Zoom, to share your TableOnCloud screen with colleagues or students. The TableOnCloud Tips sheet has some great suggestions on how to effectively use TableOnCloud for group projects.

Bone Microstructure (Long Bone)
Used in BIO 167.
Shows the spongy bone, medullary cavity, epiphyseal, marrow, periosteum, and blood vessels.
Bone Structure
Used in BIO 167.
A wedge segment from the compact part of a hollow bone.
Elbow Joint
Good for BIO 167.
This life-size and fully flexible joint consists of portion of humerus, complete radius and ulna as well as joint ligaments.
Hip Joint
Good for BIO 167.
This life size functional hip joint model clearly shows the anatomy and mechanics of the human hip joint. This fully flexible hip joint demonstrates abduction, anteversion, retroversion and internal/external rotation. This high quality functional joint consists of portion of femur, hip bone and joint ligaments.
Knee Joint
Good for BIO 167.
This fully flexible knee joint model consists of portion of femur, tibia and portion of fibula; also includes meniscus, patella with quadriceps tendon and joint ligaments, including the ACL and PCL.
Shoulder Joint
Good for BIO 167.
This functional shoulder joint model shows the anatomy and mechanics of the shoulder joint. Consisting of the scapula, clavical, portion of humerus and joint ligaments.
Skeleton (Frances and Willson)
Used in BIO 167.
We have two full size human skeleton models.
Skull (Yorick)
Good for BIO 167.
Yorick includes over 160 number coded bones and features individual teeth with complete roots -- each in its own socket. A hinged flap in the right mandible swings open to expose the roots of the two premolars and first two molars in their sockets, plus an impacted third molar (wisdom tooth.)
Spinal Column - Cervical
Used in BIO 167.
A real life replica of the anatomy of the cervical spinal column consisting of occipital plate, the 7 cervical vertebrae with intervertebral discs, cervical nerves, vertebral arteries and spinal cord.

Spinal Cord Cross Section
Used in BIO 167.
Enlarged 7X to clearly reveal the spinal nerves, spinal ganglion, artery, and vein of the cervical vertebra, the cross section of the fifth cervical vertebra also shows how the spinal cord is cushioned and protected by the vertebrae.

Tooth - lateral incisor
Used in BIO 168.
Portrays a human lateral incisor tooth from the lower jaw. The incisor divides longitudinally to expose its interior from crown to root.

Muscles

Arm
Used in BIO 167 and 168.
This 3/4 life size muscled arm model illustrates both the superficial and deeper muscles, five of which are removable from the muscled arm. Tendons, vessels, nerves and bone components of the left arm and shoulder are shown in detail.
Cardiac Muscle Model
Used in Bio 167.
Enlarged cardiac muscle fiber with significant anatomical features, including the sarcolemma, nucleus, mitochondria, transverse tubules, intercalated discs, and myofilaments.
Foot
Used in BIO 168.
Showing the network of nerves and vessels. The layers of the muscles of the sole of the foot are removable. Ligamentous apparatus is shown.
Hand
Used in BIO 168.
Shows muscles and blood vessels of the hand.
Leg
Used in BIO 167 and 168.
The muscular leg model illustrates both the superficial and deeper muscles, eight of which are removable. Tendons, vessels, nerves and bone components of the left leg and foot are shown in great detail in the muscular leg. All parts of muscular leg numbered.
Neuromuscular (NM) Junction
Used in BIO 167.
A cross section of the synaptic connection between the terminal end of a motor nerve and a muscle.
Skeletal Muscle Fiber (SR)
Used in BIO 167.
Illustrates a section of a skeletal muscle fiber and its neuromuscular end plate.
Torso AM 100 (Lee)
Brain used in BIO 167.
This torso has over 20 removable and exchangeable organs, muscles, and bones. The heart is missing and there is no greater omentum.

Digestive System
Used in BIO 168.
This is a life-size, 3-part anatomy model which demonstrates the entire digestive system in graphic relief. Digestive system features: nose, mouth cavity and pharynx, esophagus, GI tract, liver with gall bladder, pancreas, and spleen.
Digestive Tissue (magnified)
Used in BIO 168.
The model illustrates the structure of the fine tissures of four characteristics sections of the digestive systems. The front of the model, from top to bottom, shows a magnified view in histological section of the individual sections of the digestive system and their fine tissue structures. On the back of the model, highly maginified views of didactically interesting areas of each of the digestive system section shown on the front are emphasized.
Great Heart of Texas
Used in BIO 168.

Heart 1 (small)
It shows the cardiac valves during diastole and on the base the valves are shown in systole. The chambers of the heart and vessels (including coronary vessels) in which oxygen-rich blood is transported have been displayed in red. Heart chambers and vessels which contain blood low in oxygen have been reproduced in blue.
Heart 2 (small)
Used in BIO 168
Intestinal Villi
Used in BIO 167 and 168.
This hundreds of times life-size model portrays three of the more than 5 million villi which line the walls of the small intestine. One villus is shown intact, another one is sectioned to reveal the network of arterioles and venules, and the third one is sectioned at a different level to show its lymphatic vessels.
Kidney, Nephron, & Kidney Corpuscle
Used in BIO 168.
Shows sectioned kidney (enlarged three times), two nephrons (enlarged 120 times), and glomerulus (enlarged 700 times).
Larynx 1
With removable arytenoid cartilages, vocal cords, and epiglottis.
Larynx 2

Liver Lobule
Used in BIO 168.
The model illustrates the structure of the functional and structural components of the liver in two different enlargements. The left part of the model shows a section of the liver that comprises several liver lobules. The right part of the model is a highly magnified view of the sectioned liver lobule on the left.
Lungs (segmented)
Used in BIO 168.
This model shows the lungs with representation of the bronchial tree close to the heart, trachea, oesophagus and aorta. The lung is detachable into two lobes and single segments. The segments are color coded and their position can be easily identified in the bronchial tree. The bronchial tree contains the lobar bronchi and segmental bronchi.

This life-size model shows the viscera and structures which form the urogenital system, and some of the related anatomy such as the sigmoid colon and rectum.

Thoracic Cavity
Used in BIO 168.
This model includes the following removable parts: two-part larynx, trachea with bronchial tree, two-part heart, subclavian artery and vein, vena cava, aorta, pulmonary artery, esophagus, two-part lung (front halves removable), and diaphragm.
Torso (Eugene)
Good for BIO 168.
Human torso model with removable head, heart, lungs, stomach, liver with gall bladder, intestinal tract, and front half of kidney.
Torso AM 100 (Lee)
Brain used in BIO 167.
This torso has over 20 removable and exchangeable organs, muscles, and bones. The heart is missing and there is no greater omentum.
Upper Abdominal Organs
Used in BIO 168.
The pancreas, duodenum, gallbladder, spleen and kidney are "suspended" in their natural anatomical positions to allow detailed study from all angles. The pancreas is dissected and the gallbladder is detachable.
Urinary System - Dual Sex
Used in BIO 167 and 168.
This Urinary System all-in-one-model shows: structures of retroperitoneal cavity, large and small pelvis with bones and muscles, inferior vena cava, aorta with its branches including iliacal vessels, upper urinary tract, rectum, and kidney with adrenal gland. Features easy to change male insert (bladder and prostate, front and rear half) and female insert (bladder, womb and ovaries, 2 lateral halves).
