QuickSearch is the Thompson Library's discovery tool. In it, you can find books, articles, journals, streaming video, financial reports, government documents, and lots of other things.
- To see what's available for a topic you're researching, search for relevant words or phrases. Examples:
- glass crazing
- "East Timor" OR "Timor-Leste"
- To find a specific article, book, chapter, etc., search for the title in quotation marks, or search for the DOI, ISBN, or other identifying information. Examples:
- Title in quotes: "Clearing the air : the rise and fall of smoking in the workplace"
- Hint: If the search for a title doesn't find it, try removing the quotation marks or the subtitle (the colon and the words that follow it). And watch for spelling errors!
