This Research Guide is for students unfamiliar just starting research in the sciences. If you're new to the physical sciences this might work for you. The resources here include all the physical sciences rather than one specific discipline. For the physical sciences, research usually starts with journal articles. They are more current than books which take longer to publish. The databases below will get into the general science journal literature. The related guides listed on the left side are discipline-specific (chemistry, mathematics, etc).
