Mango Languages Is Back at UM-Flint!

Mango Languages logoThe Thompson Library recently purchased 3-year access to Mango Languages giving UM-Flint access to another language learning tool through May of 2026!

Mango Languages is a language learning software platform that can be used online and with an app available via the Apple Store or Google Play. Over 70 languages are available including the most widely spoken in the world: Mandarin Chinese, Hindi, Spanish, Arabic. Mango is unique in that it includes many non-European languages and several indigenous and endangered languages including but not limited to: Cherokee, Chaldean Aramaic, Irish, and Potawatomi.

Of particular interest to the UM-Flint community may be some of the specialty courses available in Latin American Spanish including Medical and Business Spanish. A complete list of available languages is included here.

Users can create accounts to track learning, create groups for learning with others, and other features. Simply visit the Mango Languages through the library web page or via this link and click “Sign Up”. Use your @umich.edu e-mail and any password to create an account then select a language! As mentioned before, Mango has an app available on the Apple Store and Google Play, giving users access to language lessons at any time.
