This project added over 40 new seats in a variety of configurations: tables, single carrels, partitioned off study sections, computer carrels. Many of the new additions allow for students to configure seats and spaces for group or solo studying. These options allow students to configure space to fit their needs and accommodate their preferences for studying.

The team that put this together spent several months looking at various study options already provided in the library and on campus as well as other libraries. We worked closely with NBS Commercial Interiors who represent Steelcase to select appropriate furniture that fits with our needs and accommodate various studying modes for students.

We invite all students, faculty and staff as well as community members to stop by the library to visit and see our updated furniture. In early Fall semester of 2025, we plan to host an open house event to celebrate the new space. We would love to hear your feedback regarding our new furniture as it can be extremely helpful in developing any plans for the future of the library.
